Rt. Rev. (Dr.) Apostle Godspower A. Ogbonmwan was born in 1948 to Late Pa. Ogbonmwan Okunwague and Deaconess (Mrs.) Ruemwinyogho Ogbonmwan of the great Ogbonmwan-Oghodu dynasty. He hails from Emodu village, otherwise Known as Ogunmwenyi Village, along Upper Ekehuan in Ovia North East L.G.A. of Edo State.
He received his primary school education in Sapele, where he obtained the F.S.L.C. in 1962; Abudu Teachers' College, Abudu, with T.C. II Certificate in 1975. Not satisfied with a T.C.N Certificate and with a rapacious hunger for more education, he proceeded to the College of Education, lyaro, Benin City and obtained the National Certificate of Education (N.C.E.) in 1982.
He had, as far back as 1970, obtained a certificate in Theology from the New Covenant Bible College (now called All Nations for Christ Bible Institute, Benin City. The zeal to work for God through adequate self-enrichment and equipment took him to Christ For The Nations Bible Institute, Dallas, U.S.A. in 1983. He returned to Nigeria early in 1985, with a Diploma in Theology (1984).
In recognition of his commitment to the work of the Ministry, he was awarded the Doctorate degree of Doctor of Theology (D.Th.) in 1998.
Rev. Godspower A. Ogbonmwan was ordained a Pastor by the Pioneering father of Pentecostal Movement in Nigeria, Archbishop Benson Idahosa of blessed memory, in 1978, after entering into the pastoral ministry, eight years precedent.
Although armed with adequate formal educational certificates that assured him a decent meal ticket, he opted for a full time pastoral and evangelical Ministry, When he returned from the United States he was, in 1985, appointed the International contact Representative for Christ For The Nations Bible Institute. In the same year (1985) he founded the Practical School of Ministry, the aim of which is to train and equip workers for the Evangelical Ministry. He is a member of World Evangelization Body California and of the Christian For Justice International, Florida, both in the United States of America. The Rev. (Dr.) Ogbonmwan is a Jerusalem Pilgrim (JP). He has made evangelical in-roads into Spain, Israel, Italy, Japan, the U.S.A., Holland and the Philippines, to cite but a few.
Rt. Rev (Dr.) Apostle Godpower A. Ogbonmwan is a builder, humble, patient, prayerful, and a possessor of Joshua's like Spirit. He serve patiently and he saw what many others did not see at the fetus stage of the Mission. He trusted God, and resigned his secular job to become the first full time Minister of the Mission. He is the director of Etin-Osa Christian Foundation, a feeding, training and nurturing arm of the Mission. He is blessed with thirteen children who are equally labouring in the Ministry. His humble wife, Deaconess Mrs. Julie Ogbonmwan is a loving, evangelistically oriented Minister. The G.S vision is to take the Mission to a higher height to the glory of God.
